Does anyone know if this series was shot at 24 fps or 25 fps?

If HBO are running the show, they normally insist on 23.98. Looking at the deliverables list, my *guess* would be a 25fps acquisition (Sky/Canal+) with a transcode for 23.98 for HBO's masters.

That is what I was thinking as well. 25fps where it's needed and 23.98fps where it's needed.

A quick google didn't turn up the answer to your question. If I were you, I'd scrub through BTS footage to see if you can catch a shot of the slate, which will often note FPS.

Shoot at 25p and slow it down to 23.98? That's not uncommon...

Thanks. I was wondering if the European 1080i50 BDs are speeded up or original speed. If the latter no need to go for the US BD.
