Has anyone seen any good comparisons or have specific tests comparing the DNA lenses vs the signature primes? Does anyone have first hand experience with each set? What sets them apart? i.e contrast, flare, fall off, weight, size, sharpness ETC

    - Things usually work out better than you plan. When you`re shooting a film you`re so close to it, it rarely lives up to your expectations while you`re there. You always want it to be better, more perfect. When you see a cut, maybe two or three months later, you come to it fresh. It`s generally much better than you thought it would be" RD

Have your read this article describing the DNA concept? I think it explains it rather well, especially the part about how the DNA series is something you build in collaboration with ARRI for your specific project.

So basically they spent millions of dollars to do what anyone can do and has done for years in their basement. Great.....

    Hi Aaron

Art Adams would be a great person to tap up... he is a ARRI lens specialist so it is his job to help with this stuff.. and he was/is a DoP

The lenses are based on such diffentt business philosophies they are not really comparable...

Blackwing optics from tribe 7 have more in common with the DNA glass than signatures... (they actually share key personnel and it is suggested some similar optical designs)

Signatures I am very familiar with... happy to answer questions about them?

    Good luck with research...
