So I'm slowly chipping away at the Komodo's sensor and color science combination. It's different, that's for sure, but very very organic and pleasing. I noticed that most of the LUT's I use will just not work with this, so I'm on the hunt for new ones that play well, while also making some of my own... Here is a few different options I've been working on so far:

Top photo is a technicolor lut rebuild which I feel is the most natural looking and the bottom one is a lut called K Tone Vintage which swings warmer... I'll be posting more here as time goes. I'm working on low light luts and other color correction post work flows slowly.

interesting, thanks, however I just enjoy building my own and tweaking to what I like. His stuff is a little too orange and teal for me, and I honestly own hundreds already haha. This is more of a personal project for me, for upcoming shoots.

I can't because it will show license plates, but I'm working on sharing other R3D grabs soon

The irony is I have been pretty adamant about not releasing an orange/teal LUT to date. Until R3s upcoming release due to popular demand.

When can we expect philmColor R3 to be released? Im ready to purchase and already like/appreciate what you did with R2.

Won't have to purchase again. Will need to re-download. philmColor to date has had free upgrades from R1 to R2 and R3.

    It's coming this month.

Also, we'll or I'll make a post about it sometime this month. The IPP2 LUTs that ship in Komodo were developed by me in conjunction with RED. Fun collaboration actually, though a couple of really long nights. Subtle stuff in there, but I'll write up something shortly.
