    Hi Redusers,

I will receive my Komodo next week so I plan to put my hands on some pancake lenses for the weekend.

What are the best choices to keep the Komodo the smallest possible?
Iím open to everything from vintage to brand new.

Letís start a list here if some of you have some recommendation whatever the mount, whatever the release date.

Thanks for your help guys 👍🏻

The canon is definitely the usual suspect. I was thinking even shorter and smaller. M mount or m39 maybe vintage. I would like to keep the adapter / lense as short as possible and try to remove every cm/inch possible.

I made some quick search yesterday. I found some vintage pancake who can be funny to drop on the Komodo for street shooting days.

There is really different flavor in the list below.

I think I will maybe give a try to the voigtlander, apoqualia or summaron.

Do you have ever tried some? Any recommendations?

    Leica M

    MS Optical Perar f/4.5 | 17mm

MS Optical Super Triplet Perar f/4.5 | 21mm

MS Optical Super Triplet Perar f/4 | 28mm

    MS Optical Apoqualia-G f/2 | 28mm

    Summaron f/5.6 | 28mm

    Summicron-C f/2.0 | 40mm

    Voigtlander Color Skopar PII f/2.5 | 35mm

    M39

    Avenon Kobalux f/3.5 | 28mm

    Canon LTM f/2.8 | 28mm

    Industar 69 f/2.8 |*28mm

    Leitz Hektor f/6.3 | 28mm

    Voigtlander Color Skopar LTM f/3.5 | 28mm

Nikon made a lens which might be of interest, the 45mm f2.8 as a pancake style. This image was harvested from an eBay posting where there are several listed.

Canon 24mm and 40mm. I am sure Canon will come out with some nice RF pancake lenses which could make for an even more compact setup.

I'm also intrigued to see the new RF 40.
