    Yes Justin. and not to mention the Red One and about 5 Arris. I'm old, single, and no children...

    I'm not saying it's a bad camera. on the contrary. i'm just saying it's bad marketing.

    I understand. There are always two sides to the coin. The first being what you pointed out, the second that you can get into a camera ecosystem and upgrade as needed down the line.

    There's a huge argument against Red in this way for their modular system. I see the burden as being on the buyer to research and understand the product they buy. If you buy a DSMC2 brain and open it up expecting it to be able to turn on, you'll be sorely disappointed. I don't think Sony is being overly deceptive here. Remember, all marketing is leading you to spending your money in some way, shape, or form. There will always be some slight of hand involved.
