Strange that apple does not put more money for their promotion material than enough to cover for a DP, a horse, a girl and a trip to the desert. Its after all one of the most prosperous companies in the world.

Why would they need to do that? They are showing that in the right hands, with no crew they can make cinematic images. (sort of)...isn't that the point?

So is the new thing going to be deep depth of field (like Citizen Kane) instead of shallow ?

Have you considered what the addition of LiDAR might mean to post processing for DOF? Once you have a depth map of the entire scene, how far away would you be to recreating the characteristics of a particular lens, focused at a particular plane within the scene?

So this was shot all internally; no fancy lightning cable to hdmi recorder?

Seems to hold up reasonably well but compression falls apart with movement.

Looks good as a camera for photos only, unless it's all you've got, why not?
