Well, based on manufacturers specs, the Pocket 6K has 13 stops of DR and the Komodo has "16+"

Well, as you can see the P6K has a 'patch range', or what we can call "reduser stops", of 15.7. Let's call it 16-. So, 16- vs 16+?

Or, we can just discount the "internet stops" that start somewhere around 14 and above and realise that the meaningful difference is absolutely zero. In that regard.

There are many other differences between the cameras though, playing to both their strengths and weaknesses respectively.

What do you mean - better recovery?

When it comes to science, it's not as clear cut as you might think. On one side you have 'Trump science' and on the other there is 'science science'. And then there is a pretty big spectrum that is all "science". Or, it's more like in... was it Game of Thrones where the Dothraki say "Me nem nesa". It means 'it is known'. This is the area where we find "shadow DR" and "highlight DR" and some other very interesting things.

Oh, ok, I thought that You were speaking of the "higlight recovery" check box in raw settings tab in Resolve

I mean like when you overexpose the image by X stops and bring it back in post.
Usually, RED cameras tend to fall apart a stop under what the Pocket can do. At least it seems when you look at some comparisons online. But again, a lot of parameters can create a bias in those (in one way or the other).

Can you post an example. Did you ever shoot some test? It's a bold statement at least.
