Thinking about trading my Scarlet X kit, which is my A-cam, for a Komodo. Obviously won't be a straight trade, however should cover half the cost. What's the Pros and Cons of this decision? What would you do?
Thanks In Advance :)

Is this a trick/rhetorical question? While I haven't used a Komodo personally, on paper there is absolutely nothing the Scarlet-X does as well as (never mind "better than") Komodo.
...So ~$3k+Scarlet Brain for a Komodo? Pffft, I still have a Scarlet-X sitting here and would seriously consider that swap myself (and I certainly don't need another camera).
It's def. time to. Scarlet X has become obsolete this year, almost any camera out there has something much more capable - be it FPS, or less weight etc. Komodo is a decent swap, keep in mind that you still need to buy all the accessories, so it's a tad more than +3K, more likely +5K. But you'll get cheaper accessories, starting from RS2 (compare it to MOVI PRO), and much more single-user friendly camera.
That was my question. Scarlet Eco to Komodo Eco.
What are we talking here as far as a trade goes?
I'm still working with my Scarlet MX and probably never sell it.
With the amount of "stuff", I purchased for it, not sure if it's worth moving at this point in my career.
Probably better off just adding one to my arsenal :)
Just my personal thoughts, Scarlet MX has pleasant look to me. More cinematic images, I love that grain as well. It probably depends on what you doing.
Russell what decision did you land on and did you find any more info to add to this topic?
Inquiring minds want to know ;)
