Up for grabs is this really rare gem 1960s super wide that was loved by Stanley Kubrick and used on Dr Strangleove, Clockwork Orange and Shining. Lens was designed for Normal 35mm at 1:66 so on new digital sensors, that are larger then S35mm this lens has some vignetting. I do own Helium and this lens is usable at 7K 4:3, as well as its usable on Dragon at 5K
This particular lens is optically in really good shape and was just serviced. Mechanics of this lens are corky and as primitive as early Arri Standard lenses can be. This lens has a focus but already at 5.6 its act as fix focus lens. One major advantage is that this lens has a ultra close focus and it can be used as ultra cool macro wide angle lens. (i will post some exsamples)
For this lens to be used today you need a Arri Standard to PL adapter that holds a keyway of the Standard lens . Such adapters are more expensive, please keep this in mind. I am posting a photo of this adaptateur but this PL is NOT INCLUDED.*
