Hi!

I got an offer to buy the RED Rocket X (2gen) for 500$ in near-mint condition and it works. Should I buy it or is it unnecessary?

I'm using the Helium 8K.

I was also under the impression the rocket X doesn't work with helium and monstro chip footage.

It helps with the wavelet decode, which is still a big deal unless you have the latest graphics cards in a new new (but still obsolete the day they launched it) Mac Pro. It helps my 2017 iMacPro with Vega64 GPU when using Monstro and Helium clips. I don't think it helps my Komodo clips one bit.

Komodo is a different wavelet type. The rest is correct, still works for half the decode process on DSMC2 cams.
