    G'day all,

After a few months of no work, due to you know what, I finally got out and filmed an advert for a local company in the region here in Telemark, Norway!

These images are directly out of the camera:

    ~ w/ Zeiss 50mm @ f/4
    ~ w/ Zeiss 35mm @f/4
    ~ w/ Zeiss 50mm @f/4
    ~ w/ Zeiss 21mm @f/2.8
    ~ w/ Voigtländer 40mm @f/4

I have been working on the lighting techniques recently and trying to maximize my sensor real estate. I'm pretty happy with the result. The 21mm pic is in the evening and OFC the exposure in the background doesn't match with the rest of the shots, but I didn't have any light for outside to keep that in check. Honestly, this budget could only afford me and my gear, so there was the compromise. However, it is æsthetically pleasing, nonetheless and it chronologically makes sense in the advert timeline. :)

Lit with KinoFlo 4 banks and a theater light with a yellow gel for the kicker.

    Cheers!

Very nice work, Patrick-- very pleasing frames! (I have the f1.4 version of the Zeiss 35, and it's a favorite.)

    Cheers, M Harvey!

It is a real pleasure working with these lenses. I was going to pick up one of the 1.4 35mm but haven't had enough money yet to invest, due to lack of work. However, the f/2 pleases me plenty! I know that the 1.4 Zeiss has more of the 3d effect people enjoy. One day, he will land in my kit. As for now, the f/2 is a goody.

    Cheers!

Looks very, very nice to me.
Good production values may not be noticed. Bad production values will be.

Thanks, Karim! It is a nice location to shoot in. Lovely big windows and wooden interior. As it is a concert hall, I was able to utilise a theater lamp as a kicker. Fun!
