  1. #1 what is the used lens in this clip? 
    Hi
    I am new red camera user :umm: and i am start using red with nikon lens 28 f/2.8

    and i compare red and sony ex1 and ex1 is better than red with nikon lens !!

    i would like to buy red lens 18-50mm and i am worried about the result..

    can any one know the difference in the picture quality with red lens and nokin lens ...tell me about it please.

    what is the used lens in the attached clip screen shot?

    Judging by the frame size and background focus I would say it was either a 32mm at 7 feet or a 40mm at 9 feet, T2.8-4ish.

    Now, didn't they also bust out the proto 300m on some of these shots as well?

    We didn't have the Cookes (maybe just one) when this was shot. Our best memory is that we used the old Angenieux HR 25-250. We did use the RED 300 for the close-up.

    Heck, there's a EX1 vs. RED with a Zeiss Master Prime thread around here somewhere and most people couldn't pick which camera was which.

    You're going to drive yourself crazy if you sit there comparing the sweet spot of the EX1 to a RED with any lens because the EX1 looks terrific. The difference is the RED has far more versatile lens options and looks terrific with them all, has a better codec, shoots 4k, shoots 120fps at 2K, has a better viewing system etc. etc.

    As far as lenses go they are all not created equal and you'll just have to test.
