if you can get an epic, you can get a set of arri primes.. I dont think epic is intended towards the contax nikon boys.

But then again I dont see why third party co. wont create mounts of that sort for epic,.

    :)

The snobism on this forum is always a good laugh! Comparing "lens size" among owners... We used to have that before, guys with size issues... It was with Corvettes, Firebirds and Camaros then...

I believe Jim said somewhere recently that you will be able to use Nikons on Epic.

Okay. Now for a serious question.

Since the sensor on the EPIC is bigger than the sensor on the Red, how will that affect focal length when using same lenses on both cameras? Will there be any issues with intermixing footage shot with same lens on both cameras? In other words, if I shoot with a 75mm lens at 4k on the Red and then use the same 75mm lens at 4k on the Epic, will the image from the EPIC be at an increased zoom level?

    Please advise,

Why would I want a set of ARRIS when I can get a set of Red primes?

If the sensor is larger then the RED camera will standard 35mm cine lenses even cover it? Or will a new series of lenses be required or mayby medium format still lenses or mayby just 35mm still camera lenses will do.

I believe that the sensor is the same physical size and all 35mm lenses will used just as they are on the RED.
