    Hi guys

I was visiting Daryl and Brian Goff from ActionProducts the other day and they showed me they're newly developed Leica Mount.

    [IMG][/IMG]

It's available on they're website for immediately purchase. I could play with it
a little and it's a high quality swiss engineered piece of equipment.
Far, far better then the original nikon mount I have on my RED, which is a "not so good piece of equipment" (I can tell because I have one)

You can simply place the lens into the mount and then turn the mounting mechanism until the lens sits very tight without any play at all.
So if you use Leica Lenses, this is the mount you have been waiting for.

And the best thing is, the boys are developing a Nikon mount based on the Leica mount for about the same price RED is selling the original nikon mount.

    First post updated.

Birger is actually shipping, alas without the Impero. A couple of bugs with specific Canon lenses have been squashed. First "real world" projects are being shot on Birger now. Cool.

Nothing new on the IMS front. Does anybody know if there had been talks / will be? Outcome?

I couldn¨t find any info on the Actionproducts website about their Leica mount. Any pointer would be welcome. Thanks.

Martin, here is some info about the Leica mount from ActionProducts: http://actionproducts.ch/apshop/cata...products_id=41.

There is also a Nikon mount available, both mounts have a professional lock-down mechanism to mount the lenses rock solid, price is $380.

Update on Birger, they are now shipping from stock (minus the Impero). New: panavision mount from ET. Lesniak/Wicked Circuits has been very, very silent of late...

Apparently Birger is working on a version of their mount that would allow for fairly easy swapping between PL, Canon and Nikon mounts. This would be pretty awesome.

If you know of any mounts that are not mentioned in the first post on this thread, please do let me know. With all the threads going on, it is easy to lose track of an important mount announcement. I am trying to keep the first post as updated as possible.

    Happy weekend everyone.
