    Hi,

The DNxHD Qts that I cut from seem a little noisy, so I wanted to reconform from the R3D files to an uncompressed QT and reconform that into Avid.

I almost had it but I had a couple of questions. In the results folder I had some QT's that had multiple versions, so I am not sure which to select when I batch import back into Avid.

Also most is shot 16:9 4K which is fine, and Some is 2K 100fps which some has been retimed in avid and some not. The retimed looks fine, but the normal 100fps is coming in very strangely! Any clues?

    Thanks

    Max

Are you recreating the QT from the same original files (same duration as original import)? Or are you doing an EDL as a pull list then creating QT's from there?

I was using an EDL of my final cut as a pull list, which I put into Monkey Extract and created the QT's from there.

Then use MetaCheater on the resulting QT's ensuring you use the same source tape naming convention used the first time. Import ALE then merge the new clips into it. A relink by selected based on tape name timecode will give you an instant conform. This is covered at the end of the Step by Step guide on www.avid.com/red
