  1. #1 AUDIO BOARD Upgrade Program
There were announcements and now it's all quiet.

Is this program still in effect?

    What happened to this?

    Thanks,

    David

    It started.

I think it's up into the 100s (total guess based on a post I recently read). Just have to sit and wait for the email.

FWIW, I'm camera #79 and haven't yet received an email about the audio exchange program.

I'm curious about this. It was this "we're ready and it is in full swing, it's a 48 hour turnaround, etc."

This was the thread I read a while back.

Do the recent announcements mean that the RED ONE's™ upgrade is not happening anymore?

The free audio upgrade program is definitely up and running. I'm camera #14 and got the email last week. I sent my camera in early this week and I got email today letting me know it's all done and ready for me. Sweet!

Yes there was a lag between when they announced it and when it started up, but it's up and running now!

Cool. So they are up to serial number 14 since September?

As I said, the start of the program was delayed. I assume I was in the first batch of emails, which I got on Nov 6th. My camera was busy right then, but I got it to Red on Nov 11th. I received email that it was done today, Nov 14. Not bad.

    That is awesome news.

I was hoping to send mine in before the new year but I guess it will be in '09.

Thanks for the update. Wonder what the delay was about?

I think logistics. They needed to start it up in both UK and US, have ample parts availability, plus I would guess it's a non-trivial amount of labor to do everything they're doing. And they were doing this while they were setting up the UK/Euro office at the same time.

    Yes. Most likely.

Oh well. I'll just wait for the e-mail.
