    took my "old" redone
and girl and shot some stuff in the black forest.

red 18-50, rc36, ND 6 with f5.6 - some grading in Redcine, i love the soft highlights

    hey looks great!!

did you use any soft filtering afterwards?

the one on the far left looks a bit softened?

and could you post a moving clip? :)

Did you get any black spot in the sun on the first one?

    Nice stuff.

RED handles the highlight roll off nicely.

Not bad for an "obsolete" camera :-)

    no filter, only ND.
    no sharpening in redcine.

as i was alone and red on shoulder, there may be some softness because of wrong focus sometimes, but urgh, after 30 minutes walking with mattebox and complete red-kit ... it was heavy ... :waaa:

but it´s always a good feeling what you can do with the raw-files ...

no black spot, even in the moved images, when sun is quite directly to the camera.

maybe the sun was not powerful enough and quite soft at 3:00 pm - we have winter in germany and darkness falls in at 4:30-5.00pm

but i´.am very pleased with it and the roll off

    Really beautifull grading!

I'm wondering how the Red perform in recording damn or evening lighting? I mean dim lighting with low contrast?
