    well to clarify this is the newest mac pro the octo mac for a great price. I just figured this info would help someone save money.

    Buying a refurb from apple is a great idea, and will definatly save you money, plus you still get a full warranty with it so its basicly like buying a new mac.

    But, your original post clearly states that that is a quad core mac pro, not an octo core mac pro.

    A few confusing posts in this thread... The system is still there. It's a quad-core (two dual-core CPUs @ 3GHz).

    Okay well to clarify you can get this which is a dual Quad-Core. The refurb below is dual Dual-core with 2gb memory and upgraded graphics card x1900. I wa confused.:bye2:

    No you are showing two different systems:
    In the top ad they list 2 Quad core CPUS
    Second ad is for a system with 2 Dual core CPUS...the refurb unit is NOT An 8 CORE system it is only a quad.
