This is a fully functioning Sennheiser G2 Evolution EW 500 (NOT EW 100) End Plug Transmitter. What is the difference ? EW100 does not supply phanton 48v power to the mic, EW500 supplies 48v phantom to your mic. This however WORKS with the G2 EW100 series.
Question is, why do you need this ?
1) Make your boom operator Wireless.
2) Allows you to do street interviews for your documentary work without XLR cables.
3) Car Rig so you can hide those lapel or boundary mics and make them wireless.
4) For wedding, you can give your mic to the bride/groom and record their audio without XLR cables and much more other usage.
This is BAND B. WILL ONLY WORK WITH BAND B G2 EW 100 or EW 500 Units. This unit is also not made in the USA but it is made in Germany.
