  1. #1 Excellent PL Techno-Cooke 18.5-55.5mm T2.4
    It's a sad day...for me!

But not for the lucky Bugger that picks up this lightweight "hand-hold-able" converted Cooke

The Glass is in superb condition and the mechanics are excellent!

I have a price in mind, but thought I might let people throw offers at me first?!?
Don't mind the shots I took with my Iphone...

Most of us have an idea what the lens is worth and I freaking love it, but need a set of primes and I already have a 18-90mm Techno Cooke in my Arsenal

Here is a link to a spot I used the lens on:

This is a seriously good lens. Was spawned from 20x60 Cooke by Henry Chrosiki of Technovision who was a main agent in those early days. These lenses IMHO were the first Varifoculs and they are sharp at any angle and zoom as well. What price are you asking please. Tonycovell@talktalk.net.

Yes it was a very good lens. In fact it was good enough that we had a custom made optical group designed to enlarge the image to cover the 65mm (70mm print) format and used them on the Showscan camera packages.

:whistling: Interesting comment, never seen "gangster" used like that before, I geuss its bcos I'm English !! However; The lens is a terrific piece of kit and should be saved from gangsters. If you dont need to sell it then use it as a prime that zooms. If you really want to sell it ? How much in $$$'s is on your mind?

yeah Tony, greatest thing about the english language is the abibliyy to 'tweak it.

like turning the noun Gangster into an adjective. just like the noun Geek, and turning it into an adverb..."He geeked it, by overexposing the Red by 6 stops"

    $$$ in mind is 9,500.00...:)
