I see that the slightly bigger 3.5" SATA FLASH DRIVE instead of the 2.5 - inch might be a bit more affordable and have more gigabytes sooner.

Is there any chance that RED might add a 3rd onboard choice and add a 3.5" FLASH SATA SSD, so we can use the upcoming 128GB cards onboard?

Or how about an off board option that could slide in out of an external RED 3.5 SATA Drive?

Ok, is there a reason why any other RED users would not want a slightly bigger storage size for more storage at a cheaper price?

On board or off board - any preferences? On board would be mine if it fits.

All our drives will be RAID configurations. And a 320GB gives you more than 2 hours of recording in a small package. We can't see the advantage of saving a few bucks per megabyte and dragging around a bigger package. Plus, we don't really want to build more than one drive housing. Our housing is designed to accommodate both 2.5" drives AND 2.5" Flash (RAID also).

Greg... sorry if I sounded short. I'm just surprised at the response to our improved rails... :-)

Our rails have been improved. So have the handles, bottom plate and shoulder pad system.

Most people complaining probably never used a cam like this and have no idea what a great modiifaction you just made is. the new red rail/ cage is fantastic.

I think people are just anxious to get going and with the delay we all seem to be in the dark which is frustrating after NAB when we all thought we were good to go.
