if you are running your MAC with RAID Cards!!

    HEADS UP!!

The new upgrade has a bug that will cancel out your RAID Card, unfortunately I did, and had to make a copy of the original system and loose also the previous update, but this way I an use my RAID card connected to the external DRIVES, with over 6TB of Files.

    :) Welcome Zak.

Yeah it seems that according to RON from MAX Digital, this was not supposed to be released, as the idea was to go strait to "SNOW LEOPARD" and e-mail are going out like crazy, but some like me had to experienced first end... fortunately Peter was still here and we made an entire disk back up which I'm working on now awaiting the "FIX", (safe travels Peter)

Yes zak, all the main DATA in the MAXX Digital Drives are fine, after reinstalling the original Disk volume that came with my MAC Pro, everything rebooted automatically.

And Ron said there are already working on a fast solution, as many did do the Upgrade just like I did, but were not as fortunate to have some one there as knowledge as Peter.

    Hmmm...

Already have 10.5.6 on my MBP, seems to be fine there. I have not put it onto the Mac Pro systems yet. But thanks for the heads up. One has the CalDigit RAID card, the other still has the Apple (SHIT) RAID card. I'm curious to try out the update and see what's up, but I don't feel like restoring from backups right now if it goes wrong.

Yeah, this is a huge problem that's effecting a bunch of companies across the board. We updated one of our systems and lost our Dulce array. The data is still there, the system just can't see the drive. Dulce is scrambling as well to get a fix out as fast as possible.
    best regards,

Sorry MODS for posting in the wrong place :innocent:

Yeah, MAC really did pull a bad one!!

Rumors are that this might have been sent by error... Go figure.

As soon as I get a fix I'll post it here, not very knowledge about this stuff, bt I imagine that each company, will have their fix depending on their systems, anyway, I'll post a fix from MAXX Digital asap as I get it for those that use their systems.

Thanks Ketch! That would have royally sucked. So happy that I disconnected my main system from the internet. I would have been tempted to install this.
