    I can't find any menu...

I'd like to see the silky smooth debayer like i get in REDCINE.

    thanks

    Antoine,

With the gamma shifting and some Color issues with native workflow, I'm convinced to prepare clips with REDCINE is more reliable. Back to the subject, I remember Graeme's post saying you only get half high.

Certain things like OLPF compensation parameters are not provided in FCP/Color native workflow yet I think. Frustrating isn't it?

    Hi Kaku,

    Yep...

At first, i told myself Wow what a knife type sharp image out of FCP.

But the more i test (and test...and test) the more i prefer the silky smooth rich images from REDCINE and RED Alert. It looks richer, fuller, nicer to my eyes.

Can't agree more, Redcine seems the tool to go, but where is that bug free version????
Did anyone succeed after importing a R3D to render out dpx in redlog with color? I get one frame that seems log and the next seems linear. I think that for some reason the clear display Lut is buggy when R3D files in the project.

You won't get full debayer for 4K clips since FCP doesn't support it. Lower resolutions should give it to you. As for the other parameters...we're working on it.

    Craig,

Thank you very much for the heads up, Graeme's post mentioned more to come, too, so we are hoping for more complete support of RED parameters.

    Let's push Apple!

    Hi Reinhart,

If you could bring into FCP the same 2K or 1080p output quality as in REDCINE, that would be great.
I just can't match the quality i get in REDCINE right now, but maybe i do something wrong.
When i say full quality, i dont mean full resolution output, but full quality like in REDCINE.

Also, is it possible in a near future to see FCP/Color accept 3K original at proper scale in a 2K timeline ?

    thanks

could any one try and render dpx's out of color while importing a R3D file strait into color, red tab (camera rgb - redlog). import any display lut move around the clip grade something, clear display Lut and render. then import the dpx's to color and check them. on my machine something is really wrong.

    thanks.
