    Hi Guys !

I tested the i-pins and saw following:

When I put in the RED Zoom 18-50 I see the lens data on the display. If i put a Cook S4i in or a Zeiss Master Prime, I see it NOT. Dont know why.
When I have the Red Zoom in and see the lens data displayed and record a clip, where can I get the info out? Via Redrushes and creating a CSV?

    Please an advice....

    thx

    Rainer

Re the lenses not displaying information, its most probably a software bug in the camera Rainer.

We are investigating some of these kind of issues at the moment, so we'll take a closer look at this.

What model of Cooke lens is it?

One more question: How can I read out the lens data from the clip?

    Hello Red????

We are still waiting for an answer to the question: How can we get the lens metadata from the R3D file?

    Hi!

We just got back out RED ONE from the update. I put the 18-50mm zoom (was also send in along the body) to the body and enabled lense data display in preferences.

Nothing is displayed on screen yet?
I read from others there should be info, but I can't see anything.

Am I doing something wrong here?

How exactly do I need to set it up?

I found it rather cool to have it enabled, as I can select showing in "Meter" rather than the "food" thats on the lense (germany, though...).

    But no success.

I hope its not a fault anywhere. I guess it has been carefully tested at Pinewood facility for working right. And as it was a lense/body combo, it should work I suppose.

    Please give me some advice,

    Axel

    Are you on B.17 v.3.4.1?

Did you enable it in the camera System > Setup > Preferences > Display > menu?

I am getting my camera back from the audio board upgrade tomorrow. Going to test it out then....

    Hi Curran,

I have B.17 and 3.4.1 on the system. I did enable it to the best of my knowledge as you explain it. Nothing comes up yet :(

    Anyone seeing this?

Unfortunately there was no kind of report what has been done and checked when the camera was returned. I suppose it has been checked at the RED facilitiy in Pinewood Studios before returning it to us. It was all well packed, so I can't believe that it could be a transport damage or the like.

Maybe I am just doing something wrong.

    Cheers,
    Axel

well, the lens data works on mine. it is located on the top of the screen between ISO and shutter speed.

Now, how to make use of the lens data is another question....
