What is needed to mount my Arri 15mm base plate to my Miller 55 head? Would be nice to have it easy on the tripod and then easy on my ET Mantis.

Just an Arri-style dovetail plate. Like the ones from ET. The 2060/2575 plates are lower profile than the 1030 plates and the way to go. You mount the Miller quickplate to the bottom of the ET dovetail plate. I keep a 12" dovetail with Miller quickplate attached to it in the side pocket of my Miller tripod bag. Once you have this, you can quickly slide your RED onto the dovetail plate mounted to your tripod. Or slide it off of there and lock the Mantis onto your RED. Easy.

I definitely recommend the 12" 2060 plate. Get the 18" or 24" too if you will be needing to use larger lenses. I find the 12" plate is just fine for mounting my Cooke 18-100 on the RED if I have enough counter-balance in the rear (battery plus drive mounted low). If I put a mattebox on that config, then I really need to go to the 18" dovetail plate.

Just got the 2060 ET plate. Fine piece of gear. I use it with an Arrow 55 for smaller jobs. But for bigger gigs, it mates perfectly with the OC' head.

Thanks Tim I went with Jeff's recommendation and ordered the ET Dovetail plate 2060 from Abel yesterday. To start with I went with the 12" since I will be using the Birger mount and Canon Lens.
