Windows XP, Mac OS X using VM Fusion/BootCamp, and Linux via WINE. Although with the end of support for XP drawing nigh, I suppose there are plans in the works to move to Vista or Windows 7.

Hopefully next week. We showed it at the RED USER event last night in the Avid room.

Great news! How was it received? Any screams of joy? What's the biggies in the new release? The Batch function for sure is one, but is there any others?

Is the roadmap for Metafuze NDA'd or is it something you're ok to share with us here? =) Would be cool to know what's planned and a rough schedule for it.

Thanks for not going bananas on my nagging Michael.

The people who did see the new MetaFuze were quite pleased! The issue was how many people got to see it... the Avid and Assimilate rooms were off the main demo area and conference rooms, so you had to kind of know we were there... but that aside:

    What was shown:

    - Batch transcoding of all input files
    - filter process to view all or any one file type as input (for example, import only R3D files when there are QT refs)
    - audio support
    - 10 bit codecs
    - transcode using all cores! Each score is slammed at near 100%

Future release will work with Pipeline FX and Cube for render farm support. MetaFuze can already be driving as a line command and XML.

I hope to get some transcode times posted in the next week - we got "clever" with some of the ways to optimize and are quite pleased with the results.
