Will the camera have settings for the 1080P like Panasonic does with pedestal, sharpness, curves, etc.???

    Or is it still RAW?

We have curves, Master Gain, RGB Gain, Exposure, saturation and contrast (to name a few) currently.

Only if you access the RAW and takes those away would they be removed from the footage.
    cheers

Already on the RED ONE camera a LOOK file can be applied on top of the RAW data when we convert to RGB for video monitoring - such as HD-SDI and viewfinder outputs etc.

The obvious advantage between this and a conventional camera is that these parameters are not burned into the recorded images, so you can change them at any time...

Stuart, a lot of us are hoping for outputs that can be controlled independently. So one output [say, REDspace with frame-lines only] could go to the viewfinder while another one [let's say more of a data-intensive view with independent focus punch-in] could go to the onboard... and a wholly separate feed [with an independently assignable LUT and frame lines] could be sent to video village.

    Any thoughts?

Yes! Independently controlled outputs would be insanely useful. Also, amen to the independent focus assist. Separate frame lines and LUT for the video village would save a lot of client reassuring . . .the less we distract them from sipping on their frappuccinos the better

I'm sure these requests are really complicated on the coding/ hardware side, but man would they be useful. Coupled with full support for LOOK files in Redalert I might just never make another request . . . . .

(that's what a lie looks like)

From what I understand, separate output paths is already on the menu for the Epic camera series - not sure about Scarlet though, I would guess that would be one of the things you loose with the scaled-down electronics in those "brains"...

Yes, hasta la looks files!! Please!!!

    Cheers all,
    Dom.

This has been one of the most requested things from DP's and 1st AC's that I've worked with. That and the ability to map False Color AND Edge Highlight to separate user buttons at the same time.

I second that. Both great feature requests Zach.
