Real names

We are moving over to a REAL NAME policy here on REDUSER.

We will begin this transition voluntarily <...> you will retain all your posts and info.

All new Registrations must use Real Names from this point forward.

Ok... I've just done another batch of about 400 and that has brought me current as of the time I am typing this.

If you have ever sent me a real name request and your username still has not been changed, you should pm me again as there is likely a problem, or I inadvertently missed your pm.

A little info for those of you who have not done this yet.

All you need to do is send me a pm of what you want your new username to be as per the guidelines.

For example, if your new username will be "John Doe" then just send me a pm like this:

John Doe

I do NOT need you to send me your password or anything else.

Just title the pm: REAL NAME and list what your new username will be.

If you all do this, it will keep the flow of updates moving faster. If I get a pm a paragraph long, or with a bunch of other information, it just slows things down.

Acceptable usernames are:
Full Name (First and last, or first, middle, last, etc, etc)
First initial and Last Name
First Name and Last inititial.

don't expect me to get you processed right away. In the early weeks of this, I got a ton of these things, so it took quite a while to sit down and go through them all.

Things are picking back up again, so I won't be able to process these in real time. As much as I *love* sitting around all day changing usernames :)

Just want to update. I have processed all real name requests sent to me via pm through April 18th, 2009... From the 19th to today will be completed by the end of the night.

Please follow christian's advice two posts up. These don't get processed in real time but in large batches... There are a lot of you :)
