I would like to ask for your advice, because we haven't done it before and maybe you guys have.

We are shooting a feature film with our RED ONE, and editing in Final Cut. We are shooting most of the material in 24 FPS, but for some of the shots in which there is a TV set in the background, we are shooting in 25 FPS, so that the TV picture won't be striped. For these specific shots we are doing 25 FPS for both the camera and the sound recording.

We will then conform the proxy files (Middle proxy) of 25 FPS shots to 24 FPS in the Final Cut Sequence to do the offline editing. What we are worried about is, do you think there will be some problems with this?

For example, what happens with the EDL or XML editing lists? Will there be a problem when relinking the material to the RAW files? Will there be a problem for the audio? Will there be a problem for the grading?

The idea is in the end to produce a 35 mm copy for theatrical distribution with 24 FPS.

Maybe you have done this before and can have some feedback.

Looking forward to your reply! And thanks in advance for your help!

If you haven't shot the material already, you should shoot the TV scenes at 24fps with a 1/50 shutter. This will save on headaches in post.

If you've already shot 25fps material; you'll probably want to use Cinema Tools to change the framerate to 24fps and deal with the sound speed change later.

Just run it at 24 fps. You have to adjust the audio length /pitch to match. ..and you'll have a longer show :)

Cinema tools is excellent and a simple way to conform your 25p footage to 24p. Just shoot the elements you have to shoot 25p and conform them to match your other footage.
