REDucation packs a giant amount knowledge into one week. By both taking the course in Vegas and working as a TA in Los Angeles, I've changed the way I use the camera and the way I think about my work as a result. If you have any interest in taking this course, TAKE IT, LEARN THE WAY, PASS IT ALONG.

I want to say thank you to Michael, Ted, Von, Jack, Eric and Steve for the amazing week!
I really learned a lot on the exposure front and streamlined my understanding of post workflow and data backup. You guys are amazing.

Also was really cool for Jim and Jarred to show us the working Epic prototypes during the RED studio's tour!!! thank you! can't wait to shoot with one!

Great pics Von! Thank you for a great week :)

This course should be compulsory with every RED Sold, it gives you such an amazing overview of how the Red fits in many post workflows; from start to finish! The detail and clarity in which everything is explained was outstanding, I came into this course with many questions that are hard to find answers for even on this great forum and everything is now clear! It has given me a new level of confidence when using this unique camera system.

Thanks again to all the lecturers, TAs and background support staff that made this week so outstanding.

I would recommend this course to anyone that touches the RED; whether in a rental house, on set or in post - this course will blow your mind!

    All the very best,

    Tom

It was a real pleasure getting to meet and work with all of you.

Being an alumni of Reducation #1 and seeing Ted, Michael, Von, and Jack again was predictably great, but being provided an opportunity to assist these seasoned professionals was especially rewarding. (though I did miss the presence of Steve and Casey)

I'm not sure if I learned more from Reducation v1 or from my partners in crime this time around :-)

One thing is for certain, as excellent as it was in the first iteration, Ted and Michael have streamlined and refined the content and it's even better than before.

I've been a big cheerleader for Reducation as the in depth knowledge I received there helped jump start my understanding across all areas from production acquisition to post.

The fact that all the teaching assistants / instructors helping Ted and Michael are former Reducation alumni and feel strongly enough about the program to step away from their careers and travel to LA to help out should provide compelling evidence about how strongly former students feel about the value of the program.

A sincere thanks to the entire team, and particularly the students for their passion and energy.

It was a very rewarding week, and I encourage the community at large to do everything in their power to support the program.

    Stephen

Thanks for all the good comments and feedback... Each time Michael and I get one of these classes off the ground and going, we are really motivated, seeing the level of learning and understanding on so many topics for production and post that touch the RED world...

The teaching/logistics team were fantastic, and the mix of students from all over made it a very interesting week.

Attended the Burbank REDucation, it was great, a wealth of knowledge from great instructors that live this every day. You covered a lot of bases, made the information easy to understand, and everyone was very accessible. Thanks to all involved!!!

Thanks for this review Mark on the separate thread you started, and for Steven, Tom, Stephen, Donald and the others that have chimed in here and in other places.

We are again motivated to drive the course forward into the future, keep improving on what and how we teach, etc.

(and trust me, Michael Cioni is the brains of the teaching, I'm just there for moral support and the occasional tidbit of inside info :-)
