They lump me into a group based on their perception of history. I've never done anything to them, but they still want me dead. They don't want to reason with me.

Please don't misunderstand me, though. I'm not saying we should just kill them and be done with it. If you're a part of a group that thinks killing innocent people is the only way to bring about justice in the world, and you can't be reasoned with, then you had better believe we're going to sick our shiny new predator planes on you.

:) You like how I brought us back on topic? I thought it was artful
Yeah, you can sort fundamentalists out by making their own nationals turn against them. You do that by being nice/fair to other nations.. it goes against the grain I know, and there's few examples to go by..and its not a quick process.

Considering the average shot length in contemporary films is about five seconds, I don't think people can be arsed with anything that doesn't contain instant gratification.. like a bomb

    God bless Einstein and Oppenheimer.

Nukes are the beggining of the end of war...

... or at least for a while... until the time of the real Star Wars comes. :(

Unaccountable power is the cause of wars. When US leaders committed the same offenses that Nazis were hanged for, the penalty was ... nothing.

Hitler "liberated" Poland, don't you know?

Not that I'm too proud of this, but I used to be a professional computer gamer...Trust me when I say there are PLENTY of talented American gamers out there that could easily pwn.

If this were to become reality, it'd be sick to think that gamers would actually be playing with real lives. I don't like the thought of that. Game anyone?

Peolpe thought this will happen with every new weapon and where we are now? Creating whole industry around it and still developing something new and better.

UCAVs looks simple, clean, nice, safe and cheap. But in fact its pretty scarry. They can load several of them enclosed in boxes in belly of Galaxy, hang them on computers and progamm them durig flight with actual targets as conflict develops so they can fly right away after landig and hit the targer within few hours after first reports. Anywhere around the globe. While ships with odlschool aircrafts are still on its way.

Remembers me that chasing robotic police dog from Ray Bradbury Fahrenheit 451.
Like all that interesting Darpa games - fun for geeks but in near future pretty lethal for many others. :couch:

But that's a whole 'nother subject! :couch:
Was it Sagan who suggested that if extra terrestrials visited earth it would bring humanity together by ending politics, war, and religion, leading ultimately to a single global government, and everyone living in unison? I'm not so sure..

Either way, I hope ET has read up on humans before he gets here or he's in for a shock! I bet they're out there now, listening to early radio broadcasts of Hitler out in deep space, as they prepare their packed lunches for the journey, and loading their disintegrator rifles :couch:
