Finally something (NAB2009) changed the lens prices back to normal

It was really quite a hard year, the last 12 months, I had to watch how lens prices really exploded. Zeiss Standard Set for 20K? Superspeeds for 60K? Even Lomos for 10K a set (did those ever sell though?). I got offered rehoused Cooke S2's for 15K, 20K, now I was able to buy one for 7K. BNCR mount though but they have a Visual Products mount included, so that's ok I guess...

Mainly the RED Pro Primes did that I guess? Are prices going to fall even more? Those Super's back to 20K?

It's going to probably take a bit of time to drop. These lenses aren't available yet in mass. I would guess 6 months from now, things will level back to normal. Remember, a lot of these lens sets are still not shipping wider lenses, so they are not complete sets. I see Zeiss Standards taking the hit first since they are T2.1 and designed for S35. Then I imagine the older Superspeeds dropping later on. The biggest hit IMHO will be against the Master Primes, Ultra Primes and S4s, especially when compared to these reports about the RPP rocking so hard.

I think that Super Speeds (incluidng MPs) won't drop that much. RPPs are not T 1.3. The extra stop will gain some value.
