I am looking for a short cable to protect our RED's HDMI port when using HDMI out.

It would have to be something like this: http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Splitter-.../dp/B000FMJLQC but without 2 ports, just with one so we don't have to split the signal in half.

So best would be the same with HDMI female on HDMI male at around 7 inch or so.

anyone knows where to buy such a cable?

    cheers, xax

If you want to protect the port have a look at the '180 swivel' hdmi adapter, it should take some of the strain off the red port and allow you greater flexibility of movement with the cable attached.
