Los Angeles Area REDusers may be interested in this upcoming Digital Cinema Society Event:

Exploring RED Rocket at LIGHTIRON Digital - September 5th

This Saturday morning, September 5th, DCS will join RED workflow aficionados Michael Cioni of LIGHTIRON Digital, and Torrey Loomis of Silverado Systems, (an authorized dealer for this product) to see RED Rocket in action. The meeting will be held at Michael’s new LIGHTIRON digs in L.A., where he will demo RED Rocket working with Pablo in his DI grading suite.
Saturday, September 5th - 10AM to Noon at LIGHTIRON Digital. Please note for those in other parts of the world, that we also record our events for later streaming from our website.

Seating is limited and RSVPs are required. Current DCS members can save a place by e-mailing us with “RED Rocket™” in the subject line to: Mathers (at) DigitalCinemaSociety (dot) org

Non DCS members need first be added to our roster using either of the links below. Be our guest to a complimentary trial membership, or if you would like to choose now to support what we are about, use the regular sign up link to pay the $30.00 dues/initiation fee; either way, we will be happy to activate your membership and register you for this event.

Is there any word on performance of RED Rocket with Red Code 42 or is it still too early for that?

It's being worked on but I don't have a firm ETA yet.

As soon as we catch up with other features, we'll start adding multiple rocket support.

Since it's command line, it should work the same with qmaster as the current redline.

The new one will also be cross platform.

Ordered ours on 31 August. Haven't heard anything yet but will keep you posted. "3-5 business days to process" is what's published on the website, then there'd be shipping on top of that.

Have any of you tried putting the new ATI 4870 1Gb buffer with the RR?
sure doesnt look like enough room? We also have a KOna 3 Card
