Have any of you tried putting the new ATI 4870 1Gb buffer with the RR?
sure doesnt look like enough room? We also have a KOna 3 Card
    Fiber Card.

    Thanks
I've put rocket in with the 512MB 4870 in but not the 1GB.

Did some research and its identical form factor as they use a denser memory module... so Im guessing it should work fine... we just ordered one.

So far, the big difference appears to be in 8xAA gaming... which I dont do
just trying to future proof as much as we can.

Will advise when its in. Should be here Friday... testing all weekend.
Will post results for sure. Meantime here is a link to a review.

The new one will also be cross platform.
that's great news! when this update is done to Redline, will it address the problem of files bein processed out over a network, being capped at 2GB?

Well, there are people "Flashing" the 1GB for MAC... although its strugling with
Snow Leopard it works great in Leopard.

The only thing you lose is analog VGA support...

Some guy is selling an over-clocked 4870 1GB for MAC on ebay.

But Im going the safe route and ordering the 512
    Kind regards,

Shipped yesterday--so it took 1 week.
