And if so, should I install over or is there an uninstall process to follow first?
Yes, please make sure you have the latest firmware and driver installed.

any news on a Linux/Mac/Windows SDK?
would be fun if it came before IBC, then I would think a lot of companies would show RR running inside its boxes... maybe even avid :)

SDK with rocket support has been out for about two weeks now for mac/win. Linux will be coming soon.

Now this is very interesting if apps like Clipfinder can run with RED Rocket™.

In my Mac Pro 3.2, (from bottom to top)

the first slot has the graphic card (ATI 4870)
second slot has the AJA KONA LHe
    fourth has the esata card

Will the Red Roket work with HD-SDI output of the AJA Kona LHe card ?

    Thanks

The Rocket has it's own HD-SDI ports, it won't run over the LHe ports.

    Hello Antoine,

Hans is already working on it and said only will accelerate the playback and the operation at this point. Deanan and Hans mentioned that the SDK at this point is not supporting the REDLINE with REDROCKET support, so the rendering acceleration will come later.

    ohh, RedLine with RedRocket....

Imagine MonkeyExtract getting RedRocket support with RedLine over QMaster

Talk about maxing out the storage trying to write those DPX's if you hook up 4xMacPro/RedRockets.

Now thats speeds I want to see at IBC
