The Quicktime component for R3Ds will support RED Rocket also. Any app that uses the REDcode QTs will also get accelerated (including FCP).

Working directly with NLE apps would be ideal.

Assuming the Red Rocket uses ASICs that are mass produced can we expect plenty of supply from day one?

Please excuse my ignorance, but from what I understand, FCP currently does not support 4K files. If I am wrong, please excuse me. If I am not, then how does it interface with FCP?

    Thanks,

    Nick.
