the breakout box is a separate rack mountable unit which connects to the back of the RR with cables, iirc.

so no issues with extra connectivity once you have the card in your machine.

The breakout box is separate from the SDI card, if memory serves.

I'm sure we'll get straightened out soon enough.

[admittedly, I haven't been keeping up with this thread as much as I should]
The question I was answering wasn't about the filler. The slot filler can go into another empty slot or not be attached if you don't need the SDI outputs and are using all the other slots. The cables to the filler are 12" long so if you are using all the slots, there's room for creative solutions or drop the filler and use the BOB. Lots of options...

    Interesting, thanks for the update.

Any chances of a picture of the filler? Or the internal BNC connections? I'm hoping that I can either remove the BNC connectors from the filler and run them through a hole as cables or the internal connections are something like a mini-DIN connector that I can simply adapt to BNC without needing to use the card.

I'm just hoping that I don't need to buy the breakout box just to get BNC out of my filled-to-the-brim system. :)

BNC's are the standard passthrough/nut type.

Cool... thanks for answering all these questions, Deanan.

Any guesses which day this week it'll ship? Hoping to have it before a job next week. :)

We now have about five days left til the first batch of the RR's ship out. When will we see some documents about the product? I just think it's about time for you to start packing the stuff, not finalizing the hardware. Or is this not how you work? ;)

Excited to hear more as soon as there is more that can be shared!

Thanks for all the hard work guys. You've really changed the industry up here in Utah. (If I kiss up a little, maybe we'll get more info soon!)
