  1. #1 Radio, unreadable files, help!
Does anybody know how to cover the camera against radiation on an airplane?
We think when the pilot uses the radio some files are not written correctly. If we try to open an incorrect file, it kills the hole system (Mac OS X).
It does not matter wich program you use (Quick Time, Red Alert, R3D Manager) everytime the system is completely dead.
    Any help?

Are you using CF cards or drives? I have had Radar fry CF cards before. What type of plane? Where were you shooting in relation to the antenna for the radio? I have not heard of RF causing problems with Red, but that doesn't mean it can't.

We were using a red drive. The "plane" was a zeppelin and the camera is only about 2 meters away fom the antenna. But thats the only position for the camera.

You could find out the radar frequency and build a Faraday cage to block that frequency. Or wrap the camera body in foil as a radar reflector (keeping room for the vents at the bottom to breathe).
