RED shipping schedule delayed once more?

"RED comes out of engineering delay
The RED ONE is back on track after a two month engineering delay. Field testing is underway before entering into production.
RED ONE prototypes are being used on the Wanted set in Prague and has been chosen by Steven Soderbergh to shoot his next two movies, The Argentine and Guerrilla.
Valuable information will be gathered at these shoots and final tweaks will be done as needed before production begins."

So does this mean that the posted shipping schedule is off?

Assuming that Soderbergh's shoot is quite a ways off and final tweaks will be done to the RED camera based on those shoots before production begins....?

I believe it still stands. I believe Jarred has always said that Red, unlike other companies, has the ability to make accessory tweaks and design changes right up until production. And I thought I read that production starts the 25th of this month. That isn't too far off.

With modern electronics, particularly programmable logic (FPGAs, flash based micros, etc) changes can be made right up to the moment that the product is finished. I am certain that the will be UI changes and enhancements based upon feedback from these and other early cameras.

I have alot riding on this new delivery schedule (as do many other people) including three feature length films shooting in August/September, October and November. :nerd:
