  1. #1 The Woman Who Dreamt of a Man
Just announcing that we're currently shooting a danish feature film called "The Woman Who Dreamt of a Man". We've already shot in Paris and we're currently in Warsaw shooting this and next week and will be finishing up late July.

We are - of course - shooting on RED, Build 17 using Master Primes and the 24-290 Optimo.

The film is directed by Per Fly: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0283377/

DOP is Harald Gunnar Paalgard: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0654953/

My position on this film is as 2nd AC, DIT and Video Assist.

    Here's the official synopsis:

The young and beautiful ”K” is haunted by a dream about a strange man. On a business trip, as a fashion photographer, she meets the man from her dreams.
Her otherwise perfect life, with her beloved Johan, their daughter and her successful job, now is in danger, because of a mystical love between two strangers.

The love becomes an obsession, and when the dreams interfere with reality their romance has fatal consequences for their future.

    Expected release: January 2010

I'll ask if it's okay to post some stills from the production, but don't get your hopes up

First clip from the film has been released. Unfortunately it looks like these are ungraded proxies - but enjoy nevertheless... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldzxmbQXfrQ

A little soft, isn't it? Who was the AC on this? Ha ha, just kidding. Really looking forward to the film; Per Fly is a crazy man, in a good way.

Lighting is a poor in dark scenes and because of RED latitude not even Master Primes would help.

A simple massage to DP, director and producer: Next time bring it light.

    Jean-Luc Godard.

Dynamic range is, after all, the measurement between well saturation (photosite blowout) and noise floor.

I think the lighting works wonderfully! One of the most cinematic things I've seen shot on Red in a long time.

Edit : Zentropa just output classic after classic. Is there anywhere I'll be able to catch this in the UK?

    Probably I'm a blind man...

Poster from Blowup by Michelangelo Antonioni 1966.

Also could be a fake in some parts from Antonioni's "Blow Up" where in DK movie the main roles are a little bit

changed and with it they try to be somehow "contemporary"

but on the contrary that's mostly obsolete and boring...looks as a zombie sort of storytelling...

Btw, the Ancient Greek Mythology was always my favorite literature where all that was written many thousands years ago.
