Has anyone hooked up a professional grading monitor yet? Tell us about it.

Let us know what monitor, tell us exactly how you hooked it up, calibrated, etc... I'd love to learn about how to do this properly and hear what kind of results you are getting on your rendered projects, if it matches the way they look on the timeline, etc.

    What kind of monitor?
The good thing about Vegas is that there´s not gamma shifts or anything like that. As far as you have in mind the full range and limited range parameters, you´re good to go.

I am sorry but I don't understand what you said.

I am asking about hooking up a grading monitor, something pro like a Panasonic 17" or the new 25", or a JVC 24". Or a CRT, a Panasonic Pro Plasma 11... anything other than a consumer LCD.

That usually requires a AJA Xena card to do that properly. Though if you have one of the newer QuadroFX or FirePro cards they support 10bit color via Display port to a HP DreamColor monitor. Don't know if Vegas natively supports 10bit desktop though.

Yea, I guess I should have clarified that I am also hoping to hear what card or box you are using also.
