If you are not interested in something someone is trying to sell, please do not post in the thread.

Please look out for each other.

REDuser is not responsible for any goings on in the marketplace. It is a buyer/seller beware environment and it is up to you to look out for each other and to use google, etc. Don't assume someone is legit. Do your research.

Please don't pollute threads in which you have no real interest by telling someone that they are charging too much, too little, hounding them for why they are selling their red one, or whatever.

Healthy skepticism is good, but trolls and donkey's are not needed in the marketplace, or anywhere else for that matter.

    Absolutely NO Piracy.

Please refrain from bumping your own thread more than once per 24 hour period. Bumping is fine, provided you keep it reasonable... You may also want to delete your old bumps so as to make the pertinent information in your thread more visible as you go along if you have a thread that lasts a couple weeks or whatever.

If there is a buyer or seller that you are communicating with, please feel free to shoot me a pm anytime with a link to the member's profile and I will be glad to check for any immediate red flags on our end. It is no guarantee of safety, but it is a step that you can feel willing to take and I will gladly do for you.

    Thanks.

    later,
    jason

There has been an unusually large amount of "thread crapping" lately. That is where you enter other peoples' for-sale threads and complain about pricing or other aspects of an item up for sale. There has been a recent thread discussing the matter. People are going to start getting temporary bannings if they can't contain themselves.

We're tightening in on the real name policy. Postings in the marketplace section will be deleted if you are not using your real name.

Go to this thread to get your screen name changed.

If your thread gets deleted, please don't just repost it. Usually it got deleted for a reason - if in doubt send a PM to one of us mods.

    Thanks.

And a little reminder: When a deal seems to good to be true, it usually is.

In any online dealing, watch out for red flags, for example: low post number, newly registered member, dodgy stories, unwillingness to disclose serial number, demanding payment via Western Union. Ask for references and do check them. (You can also check previous posts by the same reduser) When dealing with someone you don't know, only spend money you can afford to lose. (On larger transactions you can also use an escrow service, such as Escrow.com.) If unsure, it is cheaper to walk away than get scammed. And take up Jason's offer.

It is at the seller's discretion who s/he wants to sell to.

Standard practice is to either sell to the highest bidder or the first person to actually buy.

If you have multiple items for sale, please don't spam the board and start a new thred for every item. Just make one single thread offering all goods.

If I see that people have multiple sales thread (especially when bumping them), I'll combine them.

This is to avoid too much noise on the boards.

    Thanks.
