My current Lens package for my Arri 2C consists of lens' with the standard and bayonet mounts.

Would I be able to use my lens' on the RED body with a PL adapter?

Also, is it possible to switch out the mounts on the RED body? Say, from a PL to a Nikon and back?

There are bayonet/standard to PL mount adapters out there that should work fine with the RED ONE. My only concern is that your lenses might not have S35mm optical coverage.

Yes, lens mounts cab be swapped... We just don't know how easy or fast the process will be yet. We'll be performing mount swaps at the LART tests.

But the lenses may or may not cover S35.

Thanks Brook. I did some searches, but as far as 35mm still camera lens' go, which mounts will be offered with the RED? On red.com, I couldn't find any info. about this either.

Yeah, Stephen, I was referring to the lenses with regards to optical coverage... there are 35mm bayonet-mount lenses out there. I should've been clearer. :)

Here is the info on RED's site about the optical adapters. There will be an EOS mount in the future.

I'd also recommend checking out the FAQ that's posted in my signature if you haven't. It's not complete, but it does cover a few topics that you may or may not find helpful.

Lucky for me, I have a standard/bayonet to PL adapter. It would so cool if the older lens would work on the RED. I have an Angenieux 25-250, a set of Zeiss standards, a 90mm Kilfitt macro, and a really sweet Astro-Berlin 600mm.

My luck dictates, however, that none of them will work for me.

I was almost afraid to ask about the possibility of an EOS adapter. That's awesome news!!! But how will it work? The aperature is set through the camera and no from the lens ring.

The focus and iris will be controlled by the SuperGrip - a grip with built in camera and lens/audio controls that is also forthcoming.

I've been waiting to hear more about this Supergrip system for a while. Is this a red product or an outside vendor? What's gonna be the ball park price? Is there any new news?
