I'm a third year grad student at USC DPing a short film in Columbus, Mississippi, from August 7th to August 14th. I'm planning to shoot on the HVX with a lens adapter and super speeds, but I would love to upgrade to the RED if there's a local RED owner who's willing to work with us on our shoe-string budget ($650/week for the camera body and accessories, but not lenses.)
The good news is that the producers just started a production company in the area and are looking to build long term relationships with rental houses or individuals in the area.
