For SDI out you'll need the SDI daughterboard for your nVidia Quadro board.

For the specific waveform monitor: I've read some great reviews on the new Blackmagic Ultrascope which is very cheap compared to the competition (Omnitek, Leader).

The Ultrascope is a PCI card that needs a host computer (not your Scratch workstation) but you can build a complete system for $ 1500 to 2000. The SDI daughterboard costs more.

Ultrascope conects the Quadro output ,and then send the signal to your monitor.

Another (and cost effective) solution would be to wait for Scratch 5.0 which includes waveform and vectorscope ;-)

    Hey Fredrik,

CUDA-enabled, true 32-bit waveform/vectorscope, with Parade modes... coming in 5.0. We showed this at IBC. ; )

Yeah I know, I should´ve been there. Really looking forward to 5.0. Looks like it will be a new milestone in SCRATCH develeopment. 64 bit will be good. Can´t wait to have 24 GB of RAM - and have good use for it!

    Cheers,
    Fred

Lucas will the 5800 with 5.0 be able to drive two GUI displays at once? I know Scratch doesn't support dual displays and Im not really sure what the 5800 supports but it would be great to use one DVI as the primary GUI and the display port for a secondary GUI dedicated to the new scopes. Possible?
