  1. #1 Two new tools
    First one,
    QtTools
(Working name, there is another util called the same, so i should come up with another name...)

You can batch alter QT reelnames, batch alter QT display settings and
    quality settings.

(there is a video showing you how to go from Avid to FCP, but it can do more)
    And it is free...

    Next one:
Relink (for those old Avid guys), or, in FCP lingo, Reconnect based on TC and Reel info only, to any material you have on your system. (avid style, but without the madness.)

I have NO idea how this relates to Clipfinder. I also do not know in exactly what RED workflow it'll fit in, but since there are so many problems with linking, it might help.

    Watch the video here:

(And yes, it was the first take, and it's unedited.)

If there is something you would like to see in the apps, let me know.

    Bouke

Some nice stuff Bouke. I will be playing with the firts application to create faster than real time QT for review from Media Composer. When playing out, we can keep real time and play 1:1 (NTSC world) making it 25% faster. Then I want to alter the resulting QT file to be 23.976 and 16:9. Hoping this will get me there.

More recent versions of MC put the timecode in the QT as an FYI - but having all the metadata from the ALE is nice!

    Michael,
Didn't know the latest MC could do TC on output...
(i did not upgrade yet, as i'm waiting for the next version as one of my clients got an Ike with GFpack).
Does it do Aux TC as well? (If not, i'll make it work in my tool :-)

We talked a year ago about your speeding up project...
CinemaTools can do this, can't it?
I can't do it the 'right' way. I can alter the playback duration, but the FPS in the QT will stay the same. Thus some applications may play back at original speed.

I'll build it in later today.
Is your mail adress still the same?

    Michael,
The QtTools is now renamed to QtChange, and i've added speed changes as well as removing specific tracks.

    Enjoy,

    Bouke

While I haven't tried any of the tools and have no immediate plans of doing so, I salute the effort and the generosity.
