Yes it can. It hasn't been formally announced, but has been hinted at the overcranking can be achieved to the red drive and cf module (2K). At 4k overcranking, I'm pretty sure you'd need the raw data port which in time will let you shoot 60 fps @ 4k. That is the limit. There is currently a debate on whether or not to keep the 720p function which would allow for 120 fps recording. Time will tell.

We can shoot in 4K up to 30p onto CF cards, so that gives you a little bit of overcranking in 4K redcode raw. That subtle slo-mo effect can be very useful.

We have not confirmed 4K at 30P to CF (yet). We are working on it, but it is not done.

Oh, ok. My mistake. I was just going by what's on the chart, but CF cards may be too slow, I guess. If it's not possible, then 24p is fine by me.

    Another silly question:

I am confident that over cranking (at a yet to be determined resolution/frame rate) will be a feature, but will the camera be able to change frame rates while filming (i.e. speed ramping like with the Arricam an others)?

Thanx for the info on Red Slo-mo.
    I am going to re-fight WWII..."Totaler Kreig".
Going to crash a P-51 and blow up a Sherman.
I'd rather do modeling than computer effects, 60fps should do it....FF
