The first two shots where shot with the RED camera using the 80-200mm Nikon Zoom and then it goes in order of 5D2, 5D2, 40D, 40D, 40D, 5D2, 5D2, 5D2, 40D, 5D2, 40D, 40D, 5D2, 5D2. Most of the DSLR TL was shot with Zeiss ZF lenses with a Nikon to EOS adaptor. The wild fires shots at the end, I got last night...kind of looks like Iraq getting bombed or something.

Of course all the footage shot with the 5D2 was in stills mode not video mode.

Beautiful time lapse shots. Well well done Andrew :)

Edit: By the way where was the timelapse shot taken of the burning mountain?

The opening shot is very likely the most spectacular cloud timelapse I have ever seen. Breathtaking. If you don't sell that thing for a good deal of cash then you will know that everyone has gone blind.

Who would you sell a shot like that too? Discovery?

It was shot on the hill on the south side of the 210 up by La Canada. I just drove around until I found a clear shot of the hillside. First I tried getting close to the fire but I got turned around by the police.

Thanks man, I was just driving up to the Tahoe area when I saw the clouds forming. So I got off the freeway and just shot from the onramp.

I used REDAlert! to process out the footage and didn't do much to it as far as adjustments go. Color space was Camera RGB and the Gamma was Rec 709. I went out to 1920x1080 ProRes (HQ) using REDrushes.

    Andrew,

    Amazing!

Spectacular sky with moving clouds at the beginning shot on RED1 and the last two with stars and fires shot on 5D2 (stills mode).

Do you need Master Prime T1.2 14mm like on 50D?

    Not at all.

With B20 RED can handle low light footage much better.

    beautiful work Andrew

I can tell that you used different settings on your time lapses. Can you tell us which you used for the fire?
