oookay... I am officially confused... The reel looks good and all but...
What's this "camel" that everyone is talking about. I've gone through it shot by shot in slow mo and I can not find any camel. Or is it a codename that I've missed? is the slow moving helicopter dropping paper called a camel in some military jargon? Like the Sopwith Camel biplane? or someone smoking Camel cigs? Or is it that there's another reel linked to in this thread that I've missed when I looked through all the pages in search of the origin of this mention of the camel-shot.
This is what I can make out (time is mm:ss):
00:14-00:47 - Gamer
00:47-00:53 - Guy hit in head & Welding
00:53-01:00 - MC's, Beach, guy shadowboxing
01:00-01:23 - D9
01:23-01:33 - Unknown bankrobbery
01:33-01:40 - Chopper (D9?)
01:40-02:04 - Guy running in alley?, slow-mo MC, martial arts in forest, Guns a blazing, Parkour?, Naomi Watts?
02:04-02:28 - Gamer
02:28-02:49 - People walking through warehouse, famous actor speaking, Exploding street chaos (reigns!)
02:49-03:13 - Book of Eli (lots o dessert, but no camel or high up shot)
03:13-03:22 - a bit more of Gamer then back to Book of Eli
03:22-End - Helicopter (D9?), gamer-splotions, headsplatt
again... lots of good stuff, but no camels?
That's really nice.love the shots on desert too.
iam working with Arri D21 Mscope this weekend....cross your fingers for me... :)
ah, that explains it. in the one I downloaded head goes splatt, quick cut of greenday, red-logo, fadeout, end-stop.
Seems a bit weird though that the one part everyone is raving about is removed, along with all the credits... Is there something we should know about this?
EDIT:
By the way... a singlehumped camel... isn't it more precise to call it a dromedary? ;)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dromedary
we had to remove the camel shot from the web video at the request of the producers, I believe they are in the middle of distribution negotiations. Beautiful shot though :)
any chances to get this reel in a better quality compression like ProRes to show it to the clients on a big screen ?
Or maybe : are you guys already be able to export and distribute this as RedCode ? :)
thanks
